We left Seattle on Sunday, June 26 for Long Island, NY for for 3 nights at Lee's sister's in North Babylon. Sister Mary Anne and brother-in-law Wayne were as gracious host as ever.
Highlights of the NY stay were a day trip for Di to Fire Island's Sunken Forrest (with a walk by the ocean) and the Monday Night Magic Show in Greenwich Village.
Tuesday, dinner at Peter Luger's Steak House (for Lee's birthday) in Brooklyn. The four of us had a fabulous time.
The steak was pretty darned good, too.
Wednesday, we got to the airport and spent the pre-flight wait time in the British Airways Lounge... WOW! You pour your own booze, wine, or beer - as much as you want. Their sandwiches and other tidbits were very tasty and all were free. Comfort Class, Business Class, or First Class passengers are allowed here.
After this we were off to Iceland...
How be Paris? Did you find your travel companions? Sunny and hot at home, we're loving it!
